On Sunday, Aug. 16th, the good doctor will be slinging drinks and syrup to benefit Adam Barruch Dance: DANCEworks Residency 2015 (Indiegogo campaign here!). You can come by, get a cocktail or two or three, and help support a dance company that will be adapting Sweeney Todd. The world needs more artists doing interesting work, and here is your chance to help that happen.
This Sunday, drinks will be three bucks. THREE BUCKS! IN NEW YORK CITY! Come day drink with us. From the official facebook event:
Come on out and enjoy an afternoon of cabaret, drinks, and art on Sunday, August 16th from 1-3pm at 280 Broadway (Gibney, DOWNTOWN) in support of Adam Barruch Dance and our DANCEWorks Residency this fall. This event will serve as the final leg of our fundraiser before we leave!
In September, Adam Barruch Dance will be the company-in-residence at the Lobero Theatre. During this time, Adam Barruch and six performers from New York will explore a new dance theater production of Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
On Sunday the 16th, it is a suggested donation of $5, and you will get a chance to meet the dancers, hear live performances from them, and purchase some of Adam Barruch's original drawings- as well as T-shirts- not to mention sip on delicious cocktails by the fabulous Jim Stark for only $3!
Whats a better way to spend a Sunday then with a little Sweeney?
One dollar per bottle of syrup sold (as well as all tips accumulated at the event) will go directly to to benefit Adam Barruch Dance: DANCEworks Residency 2015. Come join us! Gibney Dance, 280 Broadway, New York, 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
